Just so you all know I have not left blog land.
We have a lot going on right now. Life stuff ya know...
I am doing a quick post on none other than Keeper.
.
Keeper says to tell you right off the bat it was not his fault! :O)

We had a bit of a accident and it truly was just that. Keeper being 10 months old and even bigger now, I am guessing he is getting close to 90 lbs and I can say is a little taller and a little longer  :O). He sometimes doesn't gauge his size right. He was turning around to walk away from a chair where he was getting some good ear scratching from his Uncle Mike... as he turned to walk away he accidentally bumped the table next to the chair with his behind.  There were (were being the key word)  candle sticks on the table, tall wrought iron ones. Ya you got it, one went over into the others and they went flying. This table sits in front of a wall of windows, yes exactly what your thinking... the biggest candle stick of course went flying into the window and yep its busted pretty good now. OOPS..
Window below sighhh...

No worries no one was in trouble it was truly a accident of just not realizing how much room he needed to turn and walk away.  Someone I know who is so witty said "dogzilla strikes again" ROFL ... she made that statement after finding out about the window when she had not long before that learned about a butter incident LOL..... a certain doggy we have been discussing had earlier helped himself to a few licks off a brand new stick of butter I forgot and left on the counter OOPS, I seem to say oops a lot lately LOL....well he has good taste it was organic grass fed butter.... Needless to say he then became the proud owner of a stick of butter all for himself... He has been getting a little drizzled here and there on his food. No way I was wasting that stick of butter that stuff isn't cheap.

I know better than to leave food on the counter as Keeper is taller than the counters LOL. We are working on no counter surfing but I guess that butter was just more than he could take.

i love your posts about keeper. :) poor big boy, pushing stuff over.

i had a friend w/ a weimeraner that would steal fresh-baked loaves of bread off their counter. they could never break him from the countertops as they got him as an adult and he wouldn't 'learn' any new tricks. ha!

LOL! Sorry about the window, but I love Keeper!

Once upon a time I made twice-raised donuts (a lot of work), left them on the counter, and our big well-behaved dog ate every darn one!

Good luck on breaking that browsing habit. My dog is nearly perfect, and he will still steal bread.

Keeper is growing up. Bless his heart! I love him dearly from afar. He will be fine!

Your life is rich and full. Blogging is a sideline, make no mistake, we love to hear from you.

Take care of you. Have fun all along the way.

Happy August...the Dog Days will soon be gone.

LOL that he sent the candlestick flying! He must've just gone through a growth spurt, and didn't realize his own size.

Poor Keeper! He doesn't know his own strength.
Don't work too hard, and come back to us when you can! ;)

I could read about Keeper all day long. He has grown so much, so fast. Samson says he likes that term: "Counter Surfing." I say: My counters will be clean every time I leave the house. He's old enough now to know not to mess with anything while we are home. You will have a lot of fun and incidents until he is finally grown up at around 3 years old or so. Maybe sooner since he's so large. And I can't wait to read all about him here. Good no one got hurt when the window broke.

Hey I love hearing about Keepers escapes and oops. LOL. The hazards of a big beautiful dog.

Life tends to get in the way of my blogging, reading and quilting.
I mean here it is the 9th and I'm just now reading blogs posted on the 4th. Oh well that's the way it goes.
