Waiting is the hard part...

This week our box of baby chicks will arrive, the waiting is hard :O) I have their pen all scrubbed and bleached and dried and filled with fresh shavings and their waters and feeder. I have the heat lamps ready to go, now I just need the chicks to get here!

Just a fun note: this is a size large dog crate  LOL ... Look at Keeper standing next to it ROFL .

I told him soon we will have our hands full with 26 baby chicks!
His reply: " I am on it Mom, no worries" His second reply "whew there for a minute I thought you were going to try to fit me in that crate!" ROFL

Good luck with your chicks!

You might want to try putting the waters up on a brick or block of wood. It keeps them cleaner cause if there is something to step in and make a mess the chicks will do it :) And you might want to put a little bit of cardboard around the edge of the crate so they don't get any drafts. Can't wait to see pics!
