I got two loaves of bread made this morning, whole grain spelt and whole grain spelt cinnamon raisin!
This is the other save from the dumpster! A stainless steel rack/shelving. the sections are small like a shoe box size except one that has been cut a bit larger where you see the boots laying sideways. At the moment we decided to use it to put shoes on in the garage. We both said wouldn't this be great to hold wine in a small wine cellar, ummm yes but since we don't have one it can hold shoes LOL....
I made progress on my bathroom shelf today. I got it all primed and I got it leveled. Apparently those shelves were moving as I was handling it LOL I didn't know they would move I thought they were permanent on the shelf. But no worries, I got them all back level and straight :O).. Its going to be 101 today and the paint can says it should be 70 degrees ideally for painting.. LOL well good luck in Texas in August... you wont see that temperature even middle of the night but I can get much closer than 101 so I will spray the chrome paint on in the morning early before its gets stinking hot!
This primer comes in a brush on and a spray on. From my reading this stuff is highly recommended as a great primer across the board pretty much. It is oil based. But you can put latex paint on top of it or oil base paint on top of it. Blocks water and smoke stains. It pretty much will adhere to any type surface wood, metal, tile, glossy paint, ceramic tile and glass. Dries fast can be painted one hour later. Ya'll probably are thinking we so don't need to know about this little shelf redo LOL but ya know I have gotten some super good info off blogs as of late, people sharing what they have done and how they have done it and what products they used and why... it was a big help to me when I went out to round up supplies for all my upcoming projects! There are other types by this same company and other brands but this Zinsser with the brown label was hands down the most suggested by others in my research.
This is the chrome paint. I haven't really done much painting from a spray can. I did use to use a air brush quite a bit when I had my pottery business so I figured well ok... the primer was pretty easy to put on but if there is any wind its pretty wasteful I think... I have no choice but to work outside and that is probably the healthiest too! There was not much air movement so not much waste.
I did the sanding and prep work yesterday
Primer is on, did that outside this morning :) .. I leveled my shelves :O)
Its ready now to paint tomorrow in the morning!
Ok I am off to find the vacuum because you know here at the pet hair palace where the big white dog lives, one cannot miss a day with the vacuum!

and while you were photographing out in the garage, keeper was stealing fresh bread loaves off the kitchen counter. ;)
Your bread looks wonderful! I tried making just some basic white a few months ago and I was pretty proud of myself. I know what you mean about the dog shedding. Milo Cornelius sheds like you wouldn't believe, it's a wonder he's not bald.
You are very busy indeed.
My garden is coming in. I don't need to tell you what I am doing....
I can almost smell the cinnamon raisin bread! Yum!
That bread looks divine... hmmm, time to put the kettle on ;)
Ooooh~ your bread looks so good... I'll bet your kitchen smelled heavenly with that in the oven. The shoe rack looks great- neat idea!!
While the bread caught my eye initially, your painting projects made me envious...I still have two that I'm holding off until cooler weather!...:)JP
Mmm, Mmm, Mmm! Love me homemade bread. We just demolished two loaves of zucchini bread here. =)
Everything here looks wonderful, I can practically smell both bread and paint and, maybe, some dog too. I know what you mean about the constant vacuuming.
Wanted to let you know that I found a comment from you on my new glasses and my thinking about buying a Kindle. The comment had landed in my SPAM box for some weird reason. Thanks for it and it has now been posted.
mmmm looks yummy. Guess who is behind as usual on reading blogs and everything else...me.
What a great save from the dumpster. Pretty nifty I think.
